About us
Pathology plays an important role as a department comparable to the trunk of a large tree that connects the basic and clinical sciences. In recent years, the scope of basic research has expanded to include not only the medical field but also various other fields such as physics, mathematics, information engineering, materials engineering, and artificial intelligence due to advances in technology, and clinical applications of this research are expected. The philosophy of our laboratory is to develop pathology research and diagnostics that will lead to the next generation, while inheriting the traditional “diagnostic morphology” of Kyushu University, in which the “To examine the form until the hole is drilled is the only way to diagnose the morphology”.
